At Woodland Veterinary Hospital, we understand how stressful bringing your pet in for surgery can be. That’s why we strive to make each and every procedure as stress-free as possible for both our patients and their loving owners. Our veterinarians are highly skilled in the most modern veterinary surgical techniques and our well trained care team is always on hand to ensure the safety and comfort of each patient.
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite gives us the versatility to perform many different types of surgeries at our hospital, from routine spays and neuters to more complex procedures and emergency surgery as needed. We also work closely with a number of board-certified veterinary surgeons to assist with more complicated procedures when needed.
We take many precautions to ensure that every surgery is completed as safely as possible. All surgical patients undergo a series of tests to check for any underlying diseases that could complicate surgery. While anesthetized, our patients are maintained on intravenous fluids to support their blood pressure and allow for quick access to the veins in case of emergency. Vital signs (heart rate and rhythm, breathing rate, blood pressure, and oxygenation) are carefully monitored by our skilled veterinary technicians – before, during and following surgery.
Whatever your pet’s surgical needs, we are well-equipped to assist. We want you to feel confident that when you bring your animal companion to us for surgery, they will be in caring, capable hands and we’ll do whatever it takes to help your pet recover as quickly and comfortably as possible.
