How can I book with my preferred veterinarian?
At the time of scheduling, the Client Care Representative should ask about your preferences for a veterinarian. You may also note your request to see a specific doctor if you email or text an appointment request. If your pet is experiencing an immediate health concern and your preferred veterinarian is not available, we may recommend seeing a different veterinarian.
Do you have payment plans?
We do not offer payment plan options. However, we do accept Care Credit as a financing option for your pet’s care. We are not able to facilitate your enrollment, but you can learn more and apply at carecredit.com/apply
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
We see patients by appointment only and we must confirm availability for urgent/emergency appointments with our medical team, unless the stability of your pet is at risk. Depending on our medical team’s recommendation, and if it is in the best interest of your pet, you may be referred to a 24-hour emergency facility.
How far out are you booking?
Our hospital boasts 10 Veterinarians in rotation, with up to 6 practicing on any given day. This gives us a variety of appointment options. We will work together with you to find the best appointment option that fits you and your pet’s needs. Please note, the majority of available appointments are during the week, as weekends fill up quickly, and are primarily focused on urgent and emergency exams.
Do I need to see a vet? My pet just needs vaccines.
California law prevents us from providing medical care such as vaccines, medication, and prescription diets to pets we have not previously seen at our hospital within the past calendar year. Veterinary visits at other facilities do not count towards our ability to provide your pet with medical items.
Does my pet really need flea and heartworm prevention?
Absolutely! Though you may feel this is unnecessary for your lifestyle, your pet is at risk of picking up diseases caused by parasites any time they are outdoors- even on potty breaks. Furthermore, parasites that are common culprits, such as fleas and mosquitos, often find their way indoors.
Do I have to submit my pets Rabies certificate to the county or do you submit it for me?
Although it is legally required to license your pet, it is up to each owner’s discretion. We serve families in many counties and are unable to coordinate with them all. At the time your pet receives their rabies vaccine, you should receive two copies certifying they are current on the rabies vaccine. This vaccine certificate can be submitted to your county of residence at your discretion.
Can I use pet insurance as payment?
We do not accept pet insurance as a form of payment. Pet insurance acts as a direct reimbursement to the pet parent. However, we can provide assistance in submitting insurance claims. You may bring a blank signed claim form to be left on file for future assistance, or request the necessary documents to submit the claim yourself from home.

Do you treat pocket pets?
We have 3 veterinarians on staff who can see pocket pets for wellness visits and limited sick pet appointments. If we do not have a veterinarian available to treat your pet’s concern at the time of your call, or they recommend a specialized option for that concern, we will provide information for clinics that may be able to assist you.
