Puppy Preschool and Kindergarten

danika

Are you seeking a paw-sitive training experience for your new little bundle of joy? We offer Puppy Preschool and Kindergarten classes, headed by Woodland Veterinary Hospital’s very own Danika Fleming! Our puppy preschool and kindergarten classes are taught indoors where there is less distraction for your dog. For dogs that are more comfortable with more space, an outside class may be a more comfortable environment. Classes are taught by setting your dog up for success. You will be teaching your dog hand signals along with verbal cues. Dogs are on a soft collar or a front link-type harness. No collar corrections are applied.

Puppies from 7-12 weeks of age at the start of class are eligible to sign up for Puppy Preschool, and will need to have had at least one DHPP vaccine, as well as their Bordetella vaccine. Puppies from 13 weeks to 8 months of age are eligible for Kindergarten, and will need to be current on their DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, and if they are old enough, their Rabies vaccine as well.

PUPPY PRESCHOOL (7-12 weeks):  $125 – Four week class

PUPPY KINDERGARTEN (4-8 months) : $125 – Four week class

CONTINUING OBEDIENCE (4-8 months): $125 – Four week class

We will also be offering a Continuing Obedience course from 6-7pm for puppies (and owners) who would like to keep refining their dogs’ skills. Your dog must have attended a class here at WVH (either Puppy Preschool or Kindergarten, or private lessons) in order to be eligible for the Continuing course.

If you have an older puppy who could still use a good basic education, please feel free to call us as well, and we will see if we can make separate arrangements for private lessons.
